The difference between seam and seamless 304 Stainless Steel Pipe Tube

In addition to the different materials of stainless steel pipes, there are 210 stainless steel, 304 stainless steel pipes, 316 stainless steel pipes, etc., as well as stainless steel seam pipes and stainless steel seamless pipes. There is a certain difference between the two, literally there is a seam and seamless difference, but in fact, such a process is very different.

There is a difference in the temperature of the manufacturing process. The manufacturing process of the stainless steel seamless pipe is to punch a hole in the stainless steel billet at a temperature of 2200 degree f. At such a high temperature, the tool steel becomes Soft and spirally formed out of the hole. The disadvantages of the stainless steel pipe manufactured by this process are that the wall thickness of the pipe is uneven and the eccentricity is high. In addition, the wall thickness difference of the seamless pipe is larger than that of the seamed pipe. The stainless steel seamed pipe is made of precise cold-rolled plates. This manufacturing process will make the tolerance of the pipe wall thickness very small, and the wall thickness of the entire circumference is very uniform. This is why the seamed pipe is better than the seamless pipe.
